gritty urban sidewalks
show no charity for
someone who likes
to take things slow.
but no matter. i
enjoy these walks.
i can see people
as they work. as
they break. as
they love.
such is the city.
such is the day.
human life in
the ancient city
goes on uninterrupted
even amongst harsh,
hostile urban
aesthetics.
